Claire Glover is Director of Bands at Mountain Ridge Middle School, in Academy School District 20, Colorado Springs, CO.  

 

Claire began playing French Horn during 6th Grade in the St. Vrain Valley School District, and was then inspired to become a music educator.  She attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she studied French Horn with Michael Thornton, and Music Education/Conducting with Dr. Don McKinney, Dr. Matthew Roeder, and Dr. Matthew Dockendorf.  Claire completed student teaching at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School under Mike Perez.  

 

At MRMS, Ms. Glover has led the concert bands to receive Superior Ratings at the CBA Middle School Concert Band Festival and Canon City Blossom Festival. Under her direction, Ms. Glover led 8th Grade Symphonic Band to receive an invitation to perform at the 2019 Colorado Music Educator's Association (CMEA) conference, and the MRMS Honors Band to receive an invitation to perform at the 2020 Colorado Music Educator's Association (CMEA) conference.

 

Claire is the selected recipient of the 2020 CMEA Young Music Educator Award, and currently serves as the President/Coordinator for the Pikes Peak Middle School Honor Band in the Southern/Colorado Springs region. 

 

Ms. Glover loves motivating youth through her own passion of Band. Above all else, Ms. Glover is continually inspired by the hearts and minds of middle school band students.
